Eco 60+ (EO MR MDF)
Advantages
In a perfect world we would all like to cut down less trees to decrease the raw wood fibre contained in many panel products.Eco 60+ achieves this goal as it has a guaranteed recycled/reclaimed raw fibre content of at least 60% in volume. This is a significant saving in raw wood fibre that is used in the manufacture of medium density fibreboard panels. Combined with E0 HMR glues this panel is PEFC certified and is at the forefront of sustainable MDF panel manufacture.
Characteristics
As these boards are highly resistant to moisture, they can be used in more severe conditions than standard MDF. However, in those environments where there is an intermittent contact with water, such as kitchens, bathrooms and other building applications, it is important to take special precautions during the sealing/finishing process, especially in regard to bare edges, so as to prevent the possible entrance of water into the core. This product is identified through its green color. Eco 60+ is made up of a minimum of 60% Reclaimed/Recycled content.
